So why increase self-awareness, build self compassion and set healthy boundaries?
Self-awareness is the first step toward making changes in your life. When you’re more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors you can start to make conscious choices that lead to greater happiness and fulfillment.
Self-compassion is necessary because life isn't easy and the only way we are able to rebound from the hard times is by having an inner dialogue that supports us instead of keeping us down. In order to have a healthy sense of self and relationship with ourselves, we need to learn how to be kind to ourselves when life throws us those curveballs.
Healthy boundaries allows us to take care of ourselves and set limits around our time, energy and emotions. When we set healthy boundaries we are able to take care of ourselves and avoid being overwhelmed or depleted by other's needs.
